SEMH Teacher

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a Secondary SEMH Teacher to cover PSHE / Life Skills / Preparing for Adulthood in a specialist provision in Leigh (WN7).

Role Overview:

• Deliver PSHE, Life Skills, and Preparing for Adulthood lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

• Support young people with SEMH needs in a nurturing, specialist environment

• Work with small groups and individuals with EHCPs and complex social, emotional, and mental health challenges

• Use engaging, practical, and trauma-informed teaching approaches

• Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or relevant teaching experience in SEMH settings

• Experience delivering PSHE, Life Skills, and Preparing for Adulthood curriculum

• Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills

• Calm, empathetic, and patient approach to teaching

• Commitment to supporting vulnerable learners to develop confidence and independence
