Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Cardiff | Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Daily Rate: £89.38 | Start Date: 1st September 2025
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in education? Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in a secondary school in Cardiff.
Whether you're experienced or looking to start your career in education, this role offers a chance to support children aged 11–18 with additional learning needs.
What You'll Do:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with diverse needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Support learning through sensory activities, structured plans, and practical tasks
- Encourage students' emotional and social development
- Create a safe, positive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff

You don’t need teaching qualifications – just the right attitude and a passion for helping children succeed. We’re especially keen to hear from those with experience or interest in:
- Youth Work, Care Work, or Support Roles
- Sports Coaching, Mentoring, or Volunteer Youth Programmes
- Education graduates, or anyone considering a future in teaching

Requirements:
- Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (we'll help you apply)
- Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (guidance provided)
- Provide 2 references from the past 24 months
- Be able to commute to Cardiff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
