Secondary Teacher

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a fully qualified teacher (With QTS Status) who is passionate about making a difference and working with children who display severe learning difficulties and a range of challenging behaviours.

We are looking for a confident and positive individual who would be happy to lead a class and be able to deliver a range of learning experiences suitable for pupils who have a variety of needs.

The working hours are Monday - Friday during term time. (Meaning you get weekends and bank holidays off)

The rate of pay is £121.64 per day.

The following skills/characteristic traits are essential;

• You will be a qualified teacher or in the process of gaining a qualified teaching status (QTS)
• You will be registered with the education workforce council
• You will be able to work closely with fellow staff members and can confidently liaise with staff, pupils and parents
• Can use effective communication when engaging with the pupils

We would welcome candidate who;

• Are confident and are able to make professional and friendly working relationships with the pupils, their families and the staff.
• Has high interpersonal skills
• Be organised, patient and confident

The following training is desired but not mandatory as this can be taught;

• Picture Exchange Communication (PECS)
• Makaton or BSL (to any level)
• Autism Awareness/ASC Training
• Team Teach
• Moving and Handling
