Make a Real Difference! Become a 1:1 Tutor in Maths, English or Science – Secondary Pupils (Start ASAP!)

At TP Tutors, we’re excited to offer an opportunity to work with secondary pupils (KS3 & KS4) in your local area, providing tailored support in Maths, English, or Science. Whether you’re a qualified teacher, teaching assistant, or experienced tutor, this is your chance to inspire confidence, boost progress, and help young learners thrive!

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 sessions in Maths, English, or Science — tailored to each student’s needs and GCSE goals
  • Tutor pupils face-to-face in their homes, local libraries, or safe community settings
  • Support students who need extra help catching up or building confidence in core secondary subjects
  • Track progress, identify gaps, and set clear, achievable targets
  • Keep sessions motivating, positive, and fun
  • Use effective behaviour strategies to maintain focus and maximise learning

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (KS3 & KS4) in educational settings
  • Confident subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science at GCSE level
  • Ability to personalise teaching to suit individual learning styles and needs
  • Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for empowering young people to achieve their best

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply – we’ll support you)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
