Humanities Teacher – History or Geography – Secondary – Tameside

Location: Tameside
Position: Teacher of Humanities (History or Geography)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay Scale: M1 – UPS3

We are currently working with a successful and high-performing secondary school in Tameside to recruit a Humanities Teacher for the new academic year. This role is open to specialists in either History or Geography and will involve teaching across KS3 and KS4.

Role Highlights:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in your specialist Humanities subject.

  • Support students in developing critical thinking and enquiry skills.

  • Assess pupil progress in line with department expectations.

  • Contribute to a collaborative and innovative faculty team.

  • Engage in school-wide activities and curriculum planning.

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS with a specialism in History or Geography.

  • Have experience teaching at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).

  • Be passionate about fostering curiosity and historical/geographical literacy.

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and classroom management.
