A well-regarded secondary school located in the High Peak is looking to appoint a Science Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school is flexible in terms of specialism (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) and welcomes applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Plan and mark lessons in line with departmental policies.

• Support students with varying levels of ability and confidence.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science department.

• Participate in departmental enrichment activities and science fairs.

Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Specialism in one of the sciences: Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

• Ability to teach across the full science curriculum at KS3 and to GCSE level.

• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
