Science Teacher – Physics/Chemistry/Biology – High Peak – ASAP Start
Location: High Peak
Position: Teacher of Science (any specialism)
Start Date: ASAP (Autumn Term 2025)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Ongoing/Potential Temp-to-Perm
Pay Scale: M1 – UPS3
A well-regarded secondary school located in the High Peak is looking to appoint a Science Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school is flexible in terms of specialism (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) and welcomes applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Plan and mark lessons in line with departmental policies.

Support students with varying levels of ability and confidence.

Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science department.

Participate in departmental enrichment activities and science fairs.
Requirements:
-
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

Specialism in one of the sciences: Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Ability to teach across the full science curriculum at KS3 and to GCSE level.
-
Strong classroom presence and behaviour management.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
