Do you hold a degree or previous experience delivering tuition to secondary aged pupils? Would you like to work within a secondary school, providing tuition to pupils in various subjects such as Maths, English and Science?

If so, our client school currently have a need for additional tutors who can support the learning of pupils preparing from summer examinations.

  • Full time secondary school tutor roles - ASAP start until summer examinations
  • Supporting pupils aged 11-16 within subjects including; Maths, English and Science
  • Pay of up to £325 per week and invaluable experience for those considering applying for a teacher training programme in the future.
  • Applicants required to be educated to degree level or hold previous experience working within secondary schools or delivering tuition required

The head teacher of this high achieving school is implementing a new intervention programme aiming to improve the schools results across all subject areas. The school wish to appoint Maths, English, Science, Geography, History or languages graduates who can provide additional tuition to pupils preparing for examinations.

As a secondary school tutor, you will be required to support KS3 and GCSE pupils within their studies. You will receive full support from heads of department to deliver set resources to pupils who aren't currently achieving their expected grades. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to have a real impact on pupil's development and learning.

Our client school is an 11-16, mixed community comprehensive school situated on the border of Bolton and Wigan within Bolton Council's boundaries. Located on the outskirts of Westhoughton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
