Job description

Our client is a special school, providing alternative education to pupils aged 11 - 19 who have a range of additional needs. You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils across several age ranges, however will be specifically focused to 1:1 support for a male pupil with complex needs, including ADHD, challenging behaviour and other associated needs.

The child is performing below age related expectations and requires specific support to overcome barriers to learning. You will be working under the direction of an experienced class teacher, supporting the pupil working toward an outlined Education, Health and Care Plan.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience working with children or adults that have special needs and or challenging behaviour
  • Access to your own vehicle
  • A commitment to assuring that all pupils are fully supported in achieving the best possible outcomes and exceeding expectation's
  • GCSE English & Maths (Minimum of C)

The role:

  • Working between the hours of 08.30 - 16.00
  • £9.00 per hour, with room to increase dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Monday and Friday
  • Weekly pay
