Science Technician
Job description
We are working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school who are seeking a full-time Science Technician to join their dedicated Science Department from September onwards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for science and education, whether you’re an experienced technician or a science graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
The Role:
-
Supporting the preparation and delivery of practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment and resources
-
Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times
-
Assisting teaching staff in practical demonstrations and classroom experiments
-
Managing chemical stocks, apparatus and ordering supplies where necessary
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Previous experience as a Science Technician (desirable but not essential)
-
A science-related qualification or relevant laboratory experience
-
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
-
A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work well in a team
-
An understanding of health and safety procedures in a lab environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
