Our client Secondary School in Tameside are looking to recruit a Science graduate and aspiring Science teacher for September 2018. If you are looking to start a teacher training programme in 2019 this would be the perfect position to gain school based experience to prepare for a Science PGCE.
Located in the M34 post code of Tameside the Science teaching assistant position will be full time and continuing for the full school academic year. Responsibilities will include supporting teachers in the classroom providing additional to support to students, as well as working with small groups that require intervention outside of the classroom. You will be tasked with ensuring students are achieving there expected levels of progress in preparation for exams.
Situated just off the M67/M60 motorways for those who drive there are also direct bus routes and a train station a short walk away for those on public transport.
Highlights of this Science teaching assistant post;

- Pay up to £350 per week
To be successful for this Science teaching assistant position you will need to have a Science related degree, suitable references and be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS certificate. Previous school, youth work or tutoring experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
