Science Teacher - September Start - Croydon - APPLY NOW!!

Are you an experienced General Science Teacher looking to join a large Secondary school in Croydon? Would you be interested in a permanent role at a school that truly believes in investing in their staff?

***Science specialism required in either Chemistry, Physics or Biology KS3 to KS5***

We are seeking a committed Science teacher for a Science Department within a successful secondary school that has extremely excellent GCSE and A level results. All students follow AQA sciences at GCSE.

The post will involve:

  • Teaching both Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of A-level teaching, and would suit an NQT or more experienced teacher.
  • An ability to teach Chemistry, Physics or Biology at KS3, KS4 and Post 16 would be advantageous although not essential.

The ideal candidate is;

  • An innovative and enthusiastic Science teacher with a range of teaching experiences and

qualified to teach up to Post 16.

  • An outstanding teacher who combines a range of innovative teaching strategies and excellent relationships with young people.
  • Someone who looks for ways to improve themselves and the school and is not afraid of taking responsibility beyond their own area.

We will offer;

  • A personalised CPD programme that offers a range of opportunities to broaden your pedagogical experience and which seeks to support you in developing yourself for future leadership roles.
  • Modern, state of the art facilities, including the technology and resources to support excellent teaching of all the subjects in the Faculty.

Requirements:

  • QTS/NQT desirable but not essential.
  • Must be able to obtain a DBS check.
  • Proof of career history from the last 6 years.
  • Able to provide 2 career related references.
  • Experience of teaching KS3-KS5.
  • The drive and stamina to exceed school expectations and targets.
  • Strong subject knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.

The successful candidate for this Science Teacher role will need to have a specialism in either Chemistry, Physics or Biology and teach through to A-Level. You will have a previous track record of helping students to access the curriculum and be committed to developing your teaching. The school offer continued professional development and progression opportunities in return for hard work.
