Are you a qualified teacher of Science seeking your next position in the new academic year (2018/2019)? Are you looking for an introduction to a flagship RC Secondary school with departmental progression opportunities?

If so, please see the details of the Science teaching position available from September at our client RC Secondary School in Swinton.

Due to departmental restructuring, the school are seeking to appoint a full time Science teacher (any specialism) to join the Science faculty in the new academic year or sooner if possible. This position will incorporate teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3 pupils and General Science to GCSE level pupils.

This post will be offered on a temporary basis for the first term, with the view of securing a permanent position with the school following the Christmas period.

  • Full time Science teaching position, September 2018 start
  • Large RC Secondary school in Salford
  • Opportunities for progression and development throughout position
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)
  • Experienced and newly qualified Science teachers welcome to apply

"Our outstanding Science faculty is expanding, and due to this we have an opening for a creative and innovative practitioner to join our team in the new academic year (or sooner if possible). It is essential that the successful Science teacher has experience teaching to GCSE level, and will follow the ethos and values of our school community. This position is progressive, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role in December." Head of Science

With recent refurbishments to the building through the Salford Schools Programme, there are state of the art facilities available in the Science labs for teachers to create dynamic lessons inclusive of all abilities. There are currently 1,300 pupils on roll and there is a chance that numbers will increase for the academic year 2018/2019.

Located in Swinton, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation routes from Bolton, Leigh and central Manchester that provide a direct route to the school.

The Head of Science wishes to meet interested Science teachers at the earliest convenience. For immediate consideration, please submit a full CV to Nicola Pollitt. To obtain further information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
