Job description

We are interested to appoint an imaginative and dynamic teacher of Science for KS3 and KS4 to start in the new September term, working within a good Science department. We would be delighted to hear from experienced, recently qualified or newly trained teachers with a real enthusiasm for Science.

Our school has been previously rated by Ofsted as 'good' with encouraging results across core subjects form summer 2018. Attainment levels for Science taken from summer 2017 indicate that a significant amount of young adults are achieving A-C grades at GCSE.

Our school seeks a science teacher who can genuinely enthuse and inspire young people and most importantly promote a positive environment and relationship with students.

As a Science Teacher you are expected to:

  • have an expertise in science (could be biology, chemistry or physics)
  • act as a tutor- provide a safe, supportive and motivating environment
  • provide effective feedback to students that will enable them to set clear individual targets.
