Science Teachers required for two Academy Trust Schools

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large Academy Trust who are looking to appoint Science Teachers for two of their main secondary school sites. This is a great opportunity to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in London teaching both KS3 and KS4 Science lessons for students.

If so, see details below of an exciting Science teaching opportunity set to commence from February 2020;

• Full-time Science teaching post.
• Temporary employment starting in February.
• Teaching General Science to both KS3 and GCSE levels.
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS standards, GBP 24,373 – GBP 40,490.

The two schools who are recruiting for this position have an open gap within their Science department and wish to hear from Science teachers that are able to join them from February 2020. There are two main school sites, one situated in West London and one situated in North West London. Applicants will be considered for the school closest to their living location, unless there is a clear preference on which school the chosen teacher would like to work in.

Employment for this Science teaching role has been outlined as temporary in the very first instance, however their may be an opportunity for you to earn a permanent contract ahead of the new academic year, September 2020. (This will be dependant on your performance and suitability over the first term of employment.)

The Head of Science wishes to hear from an ambitious teacher who is interested in securing a progressive role. Upon appointment you will be expected to work in line with the high standards that are set by senior leaders and undertake full planning and marking responsibilities.

If successful in your application then you will be joining a secondary school that boast a progress 8 score which is well above the UK national average and a school that has made dramatic progress in recent years, largely due to a re-structuring of the senior leadership team within the trust. The recruiting schools are extremely popular within the local community and serve a diverse catchment area.  The schools are easily accessible via public transport link and have parking for the successful candidate if they wish to drive. In a recent Ofsted inspection pupil behaviour was judged as ‘Good’ whereby pupils engage well within lessons and are keen to learn.
