Job description

Help Learners Thrive With One-to-One SEN Support in Poole

TP Tutors is recruiting SEN Tutors in Poole to deliver personalised tuition to children and young people who need additional educational support. This is an opportunity to use your experience and teaching skills to help learners develop academically while building confidence and independence.

Location: Poole and surrounding areas
Contract: Part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Setting: One-to-one tuition in schools, community venues or learners’ homes

Your Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering tailored one-to-one tuition
  • Creating supportive and engaging learning experiences
  • Adjusting your teaching style according to individual SEND needs
  • Supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and educational progress
  • Recording learner progress accurately
  • Working positively with schools, families and other professionals

Skills & Experience

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Previous experience in education, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or a comparable role
  • Awareness of safeguarding requirements
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • The ability to travel throughout Poole and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
