Job description

Make a Difference Through Personalised Learning in Bournemouth

TP Tutors is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Tutors in Bournemouth to provide one-to-one educational support to children and young people with additional needs. You’ll help learners overcome barriers, develop their confidence and make meaningful progress in their education.

Location: Bournemouth and nearby areas
Contract: Part-time and full-time opportunities available
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Tuition: Delivered in schools, community settings or learners’ homes

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, individualised tuition
  • Adapt lessons to suit different abilities, needs and learning styles
  • Support learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND requirements
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning
  • Monitor and record learner development
  • Work collaboratively with parents, schools and other professionals

What We're Looking For

You should have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or a similar setting
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A willingness and ability to travel around Bournemouth and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
