Job description

Inspire Progress Through One-to-One SEN Tuition in Christchurch

TP Tutors is expanding its team of SEN Tutors across Christchurch and the surrounding area. We’re seeking caring, adaptable professionals who can provide high-quality one-to-one tuition and help children and young people overcome educational challenges.

Location: Christchurch and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time positions
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: Tuition provided in schools, learners’ homes and suitable community locations

What You’ll Be Doing

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one educational support
  • Develop lessons around each learner’s strengths, needs and targets
  • Use creative approaches to encourage participation and engagement
  • Help learners develop their academic, social and emotional confidence
  • Track progress and maintain clear records
  • Communicate effectively with families, schools and relevant professionals

Essential Experience

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • A background in education, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or a related field
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding principles
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to travel to learners across Christchurch and nearby locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
