Science Teacher – Newport

⏰ Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Daily Rate: From £166.32 – paid to scale for longer-term assignments (£32,433 – £49,944 per annum equivalent)
Job Overview

What to Expect
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Teach across the science disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Create and maintain a well-organised, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support and run extracurricular science activities, such as lunch clubs
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and wider school initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- A degree in a science-related subject is desirable but not required
- Strong understanding of the science curriculum and subject matter
- Excellent communication skills and classroom management abilities
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of scientists
