Chemistry Teacher
Job description
A secondary school in Hastings, East Sussex is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Chemistry to join our successful Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
The Role
The successful candidate will:

Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons that support excellent student progress.

Plan, prepare and assess work in line with departmental and national expectations.

Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum.
-
Support students of varying abilities to reach their full potential.
-
Work collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced Science department.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
-
Has experience teaching Chemistry in a secondary school setting.

Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.

Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.

Is committed to inclusive education and supporting all learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
