Job description

Teacher of Science – Secondary School – Full-Time

Are you an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Science looking to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school? The school places a strong emphasis on care, aspiration, and high expectations, creating an environment where both students and staff feel valued.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring curiosity and a love of learning while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

The role will involve:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons

  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress to support achievement

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively within a committed and experienced Science department

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a passionate and reflective Science specialist

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be motivated to support students of all abilities to succeed

  • Be keen to contribute positively to a whole-school culture of care and aspiration
