Science Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Portsmouth area. This is a long-term, full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role involves delivering engaging and inspiring General Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on fostering curiosity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum, creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment, and effectively assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the teacher will contribute to maintaining high academic standards while supporting the pastoral needs of students.
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrate strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4. The role requires the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities, alongside excellent classroom management and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
