Role: Science Teacher
Area: Manchester
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Start: September 2024
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience

An Ofsted-rated "GOOD" secondary school in Manchester is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Science Teacher to join their committed and passionate teaching staff from September 2024. This opportunity is perfect for an individual looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that meet the national curriculum standards.
*Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student curiosity and a passion for science.
*Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
*Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic and personal development.
*Participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the development of the curriculum and teaching resources.
*Engage with parents and guardians to support student outcomes, maintaining open lines of communication about student progress.
*Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs.

Requirements:
*Possess a relevant degree and a PGCE or equivalent in Science Education.
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
*Demonstrable experience in teaching Science at secondary school level.
*A strong understanding of the current curriculum and assessment frameworks.
*Ability to motivate and inspire students, fostering an environment of learning and respect.
*Excellent communication and organizational skills.
*A commitment to professional development and a proactive approach to learning new teaching strategies.
Enhanced DBS disclosure.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
