Science Teacher – Secondary School (Denton, Greater Manchester)
Start Date: September | Full-Time | 1-Year Temporary Contract | Paid to Scale

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Denton, Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Science Teacher to join their team on a full-year temporary contract starting September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. You’ll be delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the support of a well-resourced department and strong leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics) across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with curriculum standards

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes curiosity and learning

  • Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Strong subject knowledge across the science disciplines

  • Effective classroom management and differentiation skills

  • Passion for science and commitment to student progress

  • Willingness to participate in the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
