Science Teacher – Secondary School (Denton, Greater Manchester)
Start Date: September | Full-Time | 1-Year Temporary Contract | Paid to Scale
A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Denton, Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Science Teacher to join their team on a full-year temporary contract starting September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. You’ll be delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the support of a well-resourced department and strong leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics) across KS3 and KS4

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with curriculum standards

Assess, track, and report on student progress

Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes curiosity and learning

Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Strong subject knowledge across the science disciplines

Effective classroom management and differentiation skills

Passion for science and commitment to student progress

Willingness to participate in the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
