Science Teacher – Secondary School in Audenshaw
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS) | Temporary with potential to extend

A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Audenshaw is seeking a committed and passionate Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role is ideal for a specialist in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, and will initially run for the full academic year.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or a recent ECT, this is a great opportunity to teach motivated students in a school rated highly for behaviour, staff support, and academic ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Inspire a love of science through creative, practical, and thought-provoking teaching

  • Track and support student progress, ensuring all pupils are reaching their potential

  • Contribute to the science department's collaborative planning and curriculum development

  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment and explore

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or combined science

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional development

  • Experience teaching GCSE Science is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
