Job description

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking Secondary School in Oldham. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and a commitment to inspiring students to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and academic achievement.

  • Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to boost student engagement.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and whole-school activities.


Requirements

  • A degree in Science, Education, or a related field.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

  • Experience teaching Science at the Secondary level is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a genuine passion for education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
