Science Teacher - (Maternity Cover 12 Months) Bolton
Teaching Personnel are currently taking applications for Science teachers on a 12 month maternity cover basis for an 11-16 client secondary school in the Bolton area.
- Full time Science teacher post from September 2018
- 12 Month temporary maternity cover
- Responsibility teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students
- Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school located in the heart of Bolton
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917- £38,633 per annum)
With a member of staff due to go on maternity leave over the summer break, this high achieving 11-16 secondary school wish to appoint a Science teacher with the ability to teach all areas of Science to GCSE level (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This is initially a temporary 12 month position, however due to ever increasing numbers of pupils on roil, there are potential progression opportunities in the 2018/19 academic year for those looking to gain a permanent position.
This is a medium sized secondary school and has roughly 850 pupils on roll. It can easily be accessed from the surrounding areas Wigan, Leigh, Chorley and Salford. The school is located on the outskirts of Bolton, has direct transport links to the surrounding areas and is only a short drive away from the M61.
This Ofsted 'good' rated school is constantly improving, the attainment of students has risen every year for the last four years and is above the national average. High-ability students are being given more opportunities to reach their potential.

With this in mind the school are looking for a bright and enthusiastic teacher that can engage students and promote a positive learning experience. The teacher must be comfortable teaching Science across all areas (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) GCSE students of all abilities.
