Science Graduate - Bolton

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside one of our client secondary schools based in Bolton to support them with the recruitment of graduates that are looking to become 'Outstanding' teachers of the future.

In particular we are looking to recruit a passionate Science Graduate for one of our key client schools in Bolton. The school wish to appoint a Graduate and aspiring teacher who is passionate about Science and would like to pass on this passion to students aged 11-16 in a Secondary school setting prior to enrolling onto a teacher training course in the future.

Science Graduate Position

  • You will be supporting the class teacher and assisting students in a mainstream classroom environment.
  • Opportunity to get involved in the planning of Science lessons and see all sides of the teaching role.
  • You will provide targeted tuition to students on the lead up to their GCSE exams.
  • You will have the opportunity to lead classes in the absence of the main classroom teacher.

The school are offering employment on a temporary basis for 12 months. Ideally the school are seeking to appoint an aspiring teacher, therefore this is perfect if you are someone that wishes to progress onto a teacher training course in September 2020.

As this is a Graduate position, complete support will be provided to the incoming Science Graduate. Their will be regular training and development opportunities available and the successful applicant will be required to attend regular progress reviews to ensure that steady improvements are being made throughout the 12 month placement.

Position and Pay;

  • Full-time Science Graduate - Bolton based secondary school
  • Employment starting in September 2019 on a 12 month temporary basis
  • You will have the opportunity to earn up £1000-£1200 a month
  • Opportunity to work in a supportive school that are committed to your future development.

Our client school currently has around 900 students on roll which is smaller than average in comparison to other Secondary school in the area. The school is located in the Great Lever area of Bolton and can be easily accessed via the M61. If you are travelling to school via public transport then there are good transport links in and around the school which allows for easy access from areas; Bury, Salford, Wigan and Manchester.
