Science Cover Supervisor

A School based in Southampton are looking to recruit a full time Science Cover Supervisor from the 25th February. Teaching Personnel look for strong quality candidates for this school that can go above and beyond. Responsibilities and Duties of a Cover Supervisor

  • You must be able to confidently deliver and support classes in Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Provide a strong skill set for KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • To be able to adapt your teaching skills to suit each pupils needs.
  • You will be a good team player with good behaviour management skills when required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Teachers: Ideally have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS), Have recent secondary/ FE teaching experience in the UK to be familiar with the current curriculum - up to Key Stage 5 and Use positive and effective behaviour management strategies
  • Cover Supervisor interested in Science teaching: Previous experience in an education setting, have the confidence to cover a class up to 30 pupils, Degree/Master is desired.
