Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary school in the Tyne and Wear Region who are currently recruiting for a science technician to start after February Half-Term.
- The position: providing technical support, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use, and that the right materials are available for particular lessons
- On occasions, working closely with students to explain or demonstrate experiments or how to use equipment, as well as helping teachers with a class and supporting individual students on research projects.
- Experience in the sector is required - ideally somebody that has worked in a school environment as a science technician
- A positive, confident attitude and a desire to work in a school environment
The school wish to appoint a science technician - this role will begin immediately and is currently set to last indefinitely.
The school is located in Newcastle region and currently has over 1200 pupils on roll. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere. This combined with the SLT's continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential.
The school can be accessed via public transport - it is also reachable via all main roads from Northumberland.
