Exciting Opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistant in Gainsborough

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £83-92 per day
Location: Gainsborough
Start Date: Immediate

Teaching Personnel is actively hiring for roles in Gainsborough and nearby areas, focusing on Primary schools, primarily mainstream. This position involves working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis in both classroom and intervention settings. While previous experience is not a prerequisite, we are seeking individuals with a compassionate and understanding approach, along with a therapeutic outlook on learning. This role is specifically advertised as an SEN Teaching Assistant, and the details are outlined below. Role Overview:

  • Assist the SENDCo in supporting students to reach their Learning Objectives and provide reports on their development and progress.
  • Prioritize individual students' needs, adjusting learning strategies to suit their intellectual abilities for optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to planning, executing, and showcasing projects.
  • Attend and actively participate in school events, including open days, presentation evenings, and parents' evenings.
  • Support teachers in effective classroom management, encompassing behavior management, register completion, resource organization, and maintaining overall cleanliness and order.
  • Make daily observations of students, evaluating their attitude towards learning, participation in lessons, behavior, and general morale.

  • Enthusiastic about supporting children with complex SEN needs.
  • Eager to gain valuable classroom experience.
  • Possesses a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Enjoys working with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
