SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant

A two form entry primary school in Gorton area of Manchester, M18, are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team on a full time basis. The role will start as soon as possible and will run for the remainder of the summer term. The school are looking for a proactive teaching assistant who will work across the schools 2 year 6 classes to deliver SATs interventions to targeted children in order to raise attainment in core subject areas. The successful teaching assistant will follow the instruction of the class teacher whilst implementing their own learning styles to encourage progress at all times.

This role is to work in a 'GOOD' Manchester primary school which has been praised for 'challenging and encouraging learning' at all times. The senior leaders of the school have been described as 'enthusiastic and professional' and have been proven to 'go out of their way to help' both children and parents. The head teacher at the school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who will encourage learning at all time whilst engaging in all aspects of school life.

The temporary post would be ideal for a graduate looking at gaining experience in KS2 before going on to do their PGCE.

To be considered you must:

  • Have experience delivering small group intervention sessions
  • Have recent and relevant experience supporting in KS2
  • Be looking to enhance your career in a 'GOOD' primary school

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
