Are you an experienced and passionate early years professional seeking your next career move? A well-established nursery in Birkenhead is looking to appoint a Room Leader to join their dedicated team.

Position: Room Leader
Location: Birkenhead (CH41)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners within your designated room.
• Deliver and uphold the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0–5 years.
• Plan and implement stimulating and age-appropriate activities to promote development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and the nursery management team.
• Ensure the environment remains safe, nurturing, and engaging at all times.
• Observe, monitor, and assess children’s progress effectively.

Requirements

• A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience within a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Paediatric First Aid certification (desirable, but not essential).
• A warm, enthusiastic, and caring nature.
