Room Leader Opportunity – Birkenhead (CH41)
Are you an experienced and passionate early years professional seeking your next career move? A well-established nursery in Birkenhead is looking to appoint a Room Leader to join their dedicated team.
Position: Room Leader
Location: Birkenhead (CH41)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners within your designated room.
- Deliver and uphold the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0–5 years.
- Plan and implement stimulating and age-appropriate activities to promote development in line with the EYFS framework.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and the nursery management team.
- Ensure the environment remains safe, nurturing, and engaging at all times.
- Observe, monitor, and assess children’s progress effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Paediatric First Aid certification (desirable, but not essential).
- A warm, enthusiastic, and caring nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
