Resistant Materials teacher - Rochdale

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Design and Technology teacher on behalf of our client located on the border of Rochdale and Heywood. The school wish to appoint a Resistant Materials teacher who can start following the Easter Break (April 2018).

  • Design Technology cover - Resistant Materials
  • Bolton School, close to the town centre
  • Full time position starting April 2018
  • Supportive DT department, with an experienced faculty leader
  • Initially 1 term with potential to gain a fixed term position in the new academic year

"We have a requirement within our Tech department for a Design and Technology teacher who can lead a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE Resistant Materials. We are able to offer the incoming teacher a temporary contract initially with the view to earning a permanent contract. Our pupils are hard working and respectful towards staff; we consistently achieve results above the national average". Headteacher

The school have stated that the incoming Design and Technology teacher must have prior experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Resistant Materials. The timetable will have appropriate release/PPA time, you will be invited to any CPD and training during your time on supply and the senior leadership team are consistently enforcing the schools behaviour policy.This school is around average in size with just over 1100 pupils on roll and has been described as 'Rapidly improving' after recent recognition from Ofsted of its excellent progress over the last few years.

Located in Rochdale close to Heywood, the school is easily reachable via the M62 motorway and is just a few minutes drive from junction 20. You will be joining a strong Science department led by a supportive, friendly and approachable head of department who provides clear instruction to their team.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
