Residential SEN Support Workers – Temp to Perm Opportunities 

Teaching Personnel are recruiting compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic individuals to join our partner residential services as Residential SEN Support Workers. This is a temp-to-perm role, starting on a temporary basis through the agency with the opportunity to transition smoothly into a permanent contract.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a safe, nurturing residential environment.

  • Assisting with daily routines, personal development, and social skills.

  • Promoting independence while ensuring safety and well-being.

  • Taking part in educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities.

  • Working as part of a dedicated staff team to provide structure and consistent care.

Shift Patterns (40 hours per week):
You will work a rolling rota of daytime and waking night shifts, including weekends, to ensure fair allocation of hours and consistent support. Typical shifts include:

Day Shifts:

  • 07:00 – 17:00

  • 07:30 – 22:00

  • 12:00 – 22:00

  • 07:00 – 22:30

Waking Night Shifts:

  • 22:00 – 08:00

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in childcare, SEN, or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.

  • Compassion, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
