- Delivering R.E to high achieving pupils
This is an open vacancy for an RE teacher to join an expanding and successful Humanities department on a full-time basis from February 2016. Available due to a member of staff leaving, The Head Teacher is happy to consider applications from any Humanities specialist teachers, with experience of teaching RE to key stage 4.
This secondary college is smaller than average in size, enrolling over less than 750 pupils. It is situated just out of the centre of Burnley, just a couple of miles from the junction 10 M65. The school is going through a transitional period and can be challenging at times, but the Head teacher is very determined to turn things around and the team of staff are extremely supportive. Ideally the school is looking for a Humanities teacher who has experience of teaching RE to key stage 4, somebody who is looking to get fully involved in all aspects of school life.
The post would be ideal for a Humanities teacher who is happy to work with challenging behaviour as there can be some tricky classes. The school will offer their full support, you will be working closely with the Head of Department and be allocated adequate PPA time.
If you are interested in a position like this then we urge you to apply immediately as the school is looking to meet candidates straight away.
To apply, please contact me, Kirsten Ashcroft. Either call me in the office on 01772 842 155 or send me an up to date copy of your CV: kirsten.ashcroft@teachingpersonnel.com - I look forward to hearing from you.
