Early Years Teacher (QTS)

Early Years Teacher role in Preston, January Start

Overview of role:

To be a proactive practitioner who supports and delivers confidently the EYFS Curriculum., providing a safe and stimulating learning environment where the children are able to learn to their potential. Must have a minimum Early Years qualification with QTS. This role is to work on Mondays and the role will be to start from January 2019 until Easter at least. This role is to allow the Deputy Headteacher to have a reduced timetable.

The School…

The school in Preston is graded as GOOD by Ofsted. The Leadership is Outstanding and the Behaviour and Teaching and Learning are GOOD. The school is commutable by car and public transport links. The Head teacher is keen to appoint a practitioner who can work collectively with the other staff in the large unit; preferably a teacher who has at least two years experience in an EYFS class. The school are pushing for Outstanding status and so the Head teacher is also keen to push standards, particularly in Maths and English. This particular school follow the Letters and Sounds Phonics scheme therefore experience delivering this scheme is essential.

Professional Development Opportunities:

Teaching Personnel are keen to upskill the staff they have in work, therefore there are a number of opportunities to undertake a number of CPD courses including; Team Teach, Autism Awareness, PREVENT DUTY and Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 1 and 2.

How to apply:

In order to be considered - you MUST have experience delivering the National Curriculum to pupils in Reception within the last 12 months. Teaching Personnel are working collectively and exclusively with the school and so a registration will need to be completed at the Lancashire office before you are considered for the role. There are a number of processes that need to be completed during the registration process so ensure you have the following ready; Right to work in the UK, Update registered DBS, supporting documents, QTS and up to date CV.
