A client primary school in Oldham, OL4 are seeking a Guided Reading teaching assistant, who can plan and deliver innovative and engaging small group intervention lessons that will help to raise pupil attainment within reading. This position is predominately working within the EYFS and key stage 1 pupil’s so ideally the successful candidate will be experienced within this environment.

As a guided reading teaching assistant you will be expected to take 1:1 reading sessions with pupils, who are performing below the national average. You will be supporting them to improve their reading fluency, accuracy and comprehension with an aim to develop more independent readers.

The role:

• Long Term Guided Reading teaching position in a Oldham OL4, Primary School.

• Creating enjoyable and engaging reading intervention sessions for EYFS and KS1 pupils.

• Supporting low ability pupils with reading with a positive and encouraging approach.
