Religious Education position available in Roman Catholic girls School in excellent London location. The curriculum is broad and deliberately wide ranging to ensure each girl has the potential to develop her talents and is challenged intellectually in an environment where she can develop academically, emotionally, socially, culturally and spiritually.
The study of religion is a vital part of the schools curriculum and is invaluable in helping students understand the world they live in. The vast majority of people in the world choose to live their life by a religious code; so helping students to understand what people believe, why they believe it and how the practice their faith helps to break down barriers of prejudice and discrimination as well as ensuring young people are religiously literate. Understanding the spiritual, moral and ethical perspectives and traditions of others encourages tolerance and peace and helps to prevent misunderstandings.
THE ROLE: 5 days per week, Religious Education Teaching position, this is a great opportunity for a highly motivated RE teacher to deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires students to appreciate and engage with what they are learning.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed
Must be Catholic for the position of RE teacher
Previous UK teaching experience - RE KS4
A can do/proactive attitude
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
