Location: Smethwick, Secondary School
Start Date: Autumn Term 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
About the role:
Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a motivated and professional qualified Science Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Smethwick.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about Science and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
Role Responsbilities:
Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4
Prepare students for GCSE Science examinations, ensuring lessons are aligned with the UK National Curriculum and exam board specifications
Use practical experiments, demonstrations, and interactive teaching methods to bring scientific concepts to life
Support pupils of varying abilities, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking in the subject
Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with school policies, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
Contribute to extracurricular science activities, clubs, or enrichment opportunities where possible
What were looking for:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with the ability to specialise in at least one discipline
Experience preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations (desirable)
A motivated, professional and proactive attitude with a passion for inspiring students in STEM
Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
