Job Role: Science Teacher QTS

Start Date: 5th January 2026

Location: B30 

Hours: Full-time 

 

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a Secondary School in Bournville who are seeking a qualified Science Teacher to start from January 2026. The ideal candidate will hold a UK QTS and be available to work on a full-time basis between the hours of 08:00 - 16:00. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire a love of Science in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and ideally KS5), fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for discovery.

We are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to helping every student reach their full potential. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking for your first post, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the Science curriculum.

  • Use innovative teaching methods to motivate and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Science-related subject.

  • A passion for Science education and a desire to make learning engaging and meaningful.

  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
