Science Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a full-time Science Teacher to start after October half-term. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a welcoming and supportive working environment, working collaboratively with other members of the department to ensure inclusive learning.
About the role:
- Start-date: 3rd November
- Ongoing/long-term role
- Competitive daily pay rate
As a Science Teacher you will plan and deliver engaging lessons following the national curriculum whilst ensuring all resources and materials are accessible to a variety of learning types. You will regularly assess pupils both formally and informally, providing both written and verbal feedback. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other members of the department to ensure the curriculum and lesson plans remain relevant and reflective of student progress.
What we’re looking for:
- QTS with a strong background in science
- Experience teaching at KS3 and GCSE level (trainee teacher placements included)
- Strong knowledge of the science national curriculum
- Excellent behaviour management and knowledge of current teaching techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both the students and other staff members

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
