Secondary Teaching Assistant

  • Working with students across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four
  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, along with covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Are you currently looking to gain further experience within a Salford Secondary school? Do you have a passion for working with students aged 11 – 16, and are considering a completing a PGCE application in the future?

Our partner school in the Salford LEA are currently seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in class to support students who are at risk of exclusion, and have become disengaged from learning. The position will incorporate small group support alongside covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

The large Secondary school is located near to the M60 motorway, and is accessible via public transportation links from the City Centre. They have been commended in recent Ofsted inspections for ‘Good’ leadership and management, and the appointed Teaching Assistant will be fully supported by Heads of Department and the school SENCo.

- £50 - £60 per day depending upon previous experiences.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
