Do you have experience working with young adults with mental health or an interest supporting young adults in education and in their community?
Support young adults with special educational needs as an outreach youth worker/ teaching assistant for an expanding college in Isleworth with immediate roles.
* Fixed 12 week full-time outreach work Mondays to Fridays each week*
*Support Young Adults aged 16 – 25 years old*
*Permanent contract offers within the college after 12 week placement*
*Community and in class based work*
*Specialist training and opportunities to complete teacher training (QTS)*
*Competitive Salary – dependant on experience, training and references*
A college based in Isleworth, Hounslow providing learning and social opportunities to young adults across the borough is looking to appoint graduates, youth workers and those interested in working closely with young adults with mental health and special needs in education.
This role involves working 1:1 and in small groups with vulnerable young adults with mental health and complex needs including autism, physical disabilities and speech difficulties. You will be expected to support through in class learning and support within the local community in Hounslow such as shopping trips, employment workshops, library visits, social support meetings, gym and fitness.
Due to this relevant Child and Adult DBS checks would be vital so having or being able to apply for a Child and Adult DBS is required to fulfil this role.
