PRU Teaching Assistant

Job description

We are currently seeking behaviour support workers/ mentors to support secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school. This role is extremely rewarding and provides an exciting challenge for a teaching assistant looking to take the next step in their career.

This role is based in Bournemouth, you will require a car as you will be required to support pupils in the community if they refuse to attend or need to be taught in a different way.

You do not necessarily need school support experience previously however you will need to:

  • Have a passion for supporting hard to reach pupils
  • Be creative and have an interest in vocational subjects such as sports, childcare or arts.
  • Have some experience in a childcare setting
