The Role - Science Teacher (PRU)

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic PRU Science Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit based in Blandford starting ASAP. You must be passionate about the subject of Science and be committed to the highest level of achievement for all students. As a PRU Science Teacher you will be able to confidently teach fun, engaging and effective Science lessons to KS3-KS4 students of all abilities. As a PRU Science Teacher you must be able to confidently plan and prepare Science lessons up to the KS4 curriculum, you must have excellent subject knowledge, as this is a Pupil Referral Unit strong behaviour management skill is essential

The School

The school is part of the Local Authority's Children Out of School Service (COOSS) which makes educational provision for children who are not able to attend school. The purpose of a learning centre is to provide alternative education for those pupils who, for a number of reasons, are unable to access mainstream school. Pupils may have been permanently excluded from school, be at risk of exclusion and dual registered with their mainstream school, be unable to attend school for medical reasons or be experiencing other difficulties.
