Primary Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

Are you passionate about giving pupils the best education?

We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant within the Cardiff area with experience supporting pupils who have additional learning needs, particularly students on the autism spectrum.

The role will start immediately and will be full time Monday- Friday 8:30am -3:30/4pm.

You will need to be enthusiastic, committed & flexible, as well as having the ability to maintain calm, positive direction when under pressure.

Key requirements:

  • Strong understanding of: Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
  • First-hand experience supporting SEN - Personal or within a class room environment
  • Must be confident in handling behaviour - Firm but fair
  • You must be a creative and caring individual that is willing to go above and beyond for the pupils

In order to be suitable for this role you will need

  • Child Workforce DBS on the update service
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • 2 x Successful References
