Primary Teaching Assistant - SEN

Job description

A lovely primary school in Cardiff are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a special needs (SEN) pupil who can display challenging behaviour. The pupil is in Year 1 and the role is temporary on-going at the moment (with the chance to go permanent for the right candidate).

The school is a multi-racial Primary based in an inner city school of Cardiff.

The successful applicant will be: -

  • A calm and caring person who is prepared to work hard to ensure the best for the pupil
  • Committed to working as part of a team, sharing expertise and learning from others
  • Resourceful, resilient, robust and empathetic with a good sense of humour
  • Able to liaise with teachers and parents to report back on the pupils progress

Ideally we are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children (however this doesn't have to be in an education setting)

Pay: -

Minimum £57 per day (please note that we dont pay using an umbrella company!)

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate for this role.

The school are looking to hold observations/ trials in May and the role will be to start asap.
