KS2 Primary Teacher with SEN Experience – School in Sedgefield
QTS Required
Are you a dedicated and experienced KS2 Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A warm and inclusive primary school in Sedgefield is seeking a confident and compassionate teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team on a supply basis.

About the Role:
Job Type: Temporary/supply position, with potential for long-term or permanent opportunities
Location: Primary school in Sedgefield
Hours: Full-time (part-time may be considered) – term-time only
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 national curriculum

Differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of SEN needs
-
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
-
Track pupil progress and use assessment to inform teaching and interventions
-
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and wider teaching team
-
Maintain effective behaviour management strategies and classroom routines
-
Uphold school policies with a strong focus on safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2
-
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs)
-
Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective differentiation strategies
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
-
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
-
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
