KS1 Primary Teacher with SEN Experience – Hartlepool

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hartlepool is seeking a passionate and experienced KS1 Teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join their team.

Start Date: ASAP
Position: Full-time KS1 Teacher (with SEN focus)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:

  • Full classroom responsibility within Key Stage 1

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, including EHCPs and additional learning plans

  • Working closely with the SENDCo, teaching assistants, and external agencies

  • Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • Creating a nurturing, structured classroom environment to support social and academic progress

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Recent experience teaching in KS1

  • A good understanding of a range of SEN strategies and interventions

  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

This role would suit either an experienced SEN teacher or a KS1 teacher with a passion and drive to work more closely with children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
