2 Reception Teaching Assistants – School Nursery in Billingham

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience in Early Years or Reception settings? A welcoming school nursery in Billingham is looking for two Reception Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team.

Position: Full-Time – Reception Teaching Assistant (School Nursery)

About the Role:

  • Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 4–5 in a Reception class within a school nursery

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework

  • Work closely with the class teacher and nursery team to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Provide one-to-one and group support, adapting to individual learning needs

  • Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and families

What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant qualification in Early Years or Teaching Support (e.g. Level 2 or 3)

  • Experience working with children in an Early Years or Reception setting

  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners

  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
